Cynthia has over 20 years previous experience in community cultural program management. Cynthia is the former Director of Plymouth State University’s Karl Drerup Art Gallery. She began work at the Museum of the White Mountains as Exhibition Curator/Designer in 2015, became Assistant Director in 2016, and Director in 2017.With a background in combining work as a classroom art teacher, arts presenter, arts/education consultant, and traveling artist in residence, Cynthia enjoys the opportunity to work with a wide range of communities and audiences using different creative approaches to promote the overarching concept that the arts and culture are essential to the quality of life here in New Hampshire. She is a teaching eco artist, who has worked to balance her studio practice with a passion for arts education, arts programming, and collaborations that create communities. Cynthia is a NH State Council on the Arts- Arts in Education Roster Artist, a member of the Arts Alliance of Northern NH, New England Consortium of Artist Professionals, New Hampshire Children in Nature Coalition, and the Women’s Caucus for Art NH. She has a BS in Studio Art from Skidmore College, and an MFA in Visual Art from Vermont College.
